According to the American Psychological Association, working memory training programs are ineffective treatments for dyslexics.  The article was published online in Developmental Psychology.
Working memory programs usually involve trying to get people to remember information presented to them while they are performing distracting activities. For example, participants may be presented with a series of numbers one at a time on a computer screen. The computer presents a new digit and then prompts participants to recall the number immediately preceding. More difficult versions might ask participants to recall what number appeared two, three or four digits ago.
“Working memory training programs are often based on the idea that you can train your brain to perform better, using repetitive memory trials, much like lifting weights builds muscle mass. However, this analysis shows that simply loading up the brain with training exercises will not lead to better performance outside of the tasks presented within these tests. In other words, the training may help you improve your short-term memory when it’s related to the task implemented in training but it won’t improve reading difficulties or help you pay more attention in school.”

Child sings, ‘Ain’t no homo gonna make it to heaven’!

This small innocent child is being abused.  Of course there are those who will say my use of the word abuse is going too far, but how else do you describe this.  What makes this even more chilling is the loud applause.  What a good little boy he’s made to think he is.

Hate is a learned behavior.  This child is being taught and encouraged to hate people based on their sexual orientation.  If unchecked, he’ll grow up to judge and condemn his classmates as he enters adolescence.  These are the children, who fully supported by their family and church, torment others to the point of suicide.

Watching this made me sick.  I feel as if I should be contacting some child protection agency to get him, and all children away from these people. ~ Kim

[video found at Jesus Needs New PR]

Here’s the statement from the church:

5/30/12 - The Pastor and members of Apostolic Truth Tabernacle do not condone, teach, or practice hate of any person for any reason. We believe and hope that every person can find true Bible salvation and the mercy and grace of God in their lives. We are a strong advocate of the family unit according to the teachings and precepts found in the Holy Bible. We believe the Holy Bible is the Divinely-inspired Word of God and we will continue to uphold and preach that which is found in scripture.

I’m gonna have to call bullshit on this statement. They don’t teach hate but they have a 5 year old child singing “ain’t no homos gonna make it to heaven” and the whole congregation gives a standing fucking ovation? No. They obviously teach hate. No 5 year old makes that shit up by themselves. Fuck that church and fuck each and every one of the grown ass people who stood, applauded, and saw nothing wrong with this.

It’s finally done.
I was inspired by one I saw on Reddit, and I just had to re-make it.
Pokemon is one of the earliest things I can remember from my childhood and It was my first ever video game, which these days I can’t live without.
And to top it all off, it has a shadowless charizard which is almost as rare as a first edition.
Mission Accomplished.

Ms. Blaspheming Bitch: Anonymous asked: “why can't everyonejust be proud of their race, if it's black or white or asian or indian or anything...

Once again, FUCKING READ! This country is so goddamn whitewashed that there is absolutely NO FUCKING REASON a white person should be “proud” to be white. White people see representations of themselves (and very fucking positive ones at that) all the goddamn time! Turn on the tv and I’ll put…
